Every week, a business owner asks us: "Should I get a website or an app?" It's a good question, because building the wrong one first wastes money. Here's the honest answer we give everyone — even when it means recommending the cheaper option.
Start with a website if...
...your main goal is to be found by new customers. Websites appear in Google searches; apps don't. Nobody downloads an app for a business they haven't heard of — but thousands of people in your city search Google for services like yours every day. A website catches them; an app can't.
Build an app if...
...your customers come back again and again. Daily milk delivery, gym check-ins, regular food orders, loyalty points — these are app territory. An app lives on your customer's home screen and lets you send push notifications, which no website can match for repeat business.
The money angle: a solid business website starts around ₹9,999; a good app starts around ₹29,999 plus Play Store setup. For most businesses the smart order is website first — it brings new customers; the app comes later to keep them.
The one exception
If your entire business idea IS the app — a booking platform, a delivery service, a marketplace — then start with the app, and keep a simple one-page website alongside it purely for trust and Google presence.
